When working on physical development, we have learned that there is no cheat system to the goal. (Ikr? lame.) Obviously, physical activity is a key component to reaching a physics goal...hence the common defining factor “physical.” But did you know there’s actually a component that is even more important in reaching your physical goals than actual physical activity?
Well, there is, and it’s called diet and nutrition! Practice the ability to research and prioritize your diet and nutrition and you will see a whole new world babe. Frequent studies are indicating healthy food intake as the most important part of a fitness programs. Whether you are just wanting to maintain your physical routine, amp it up, or even have major goals like weight loss... you can find something helpful we know in our challenge below on this post.
Pro Tip: Make your mini-goals measurable. Measure your progress in concrete ways.
For example, if you are weight training, write down the weight and repetitions for each exercise. If you are exercising to lose weight, keep track of your weight loss.
Pro Tip: Choose appropriate ways to measure your progress.
Look girl, we all have obsessed over the number on the bathroom scale once before. However, for example... bathroom scales don’t distinguish between muscle and fat. So in the example of the bathroom scale, depending on what you are progressing to it may be better to take your measurements with a tape measure, or just notice how your clothes fit. Choose appropriate ways to measure your progress.
Challenge
Decide how you are going to monitor your progress and where you are going to record every detail in a training journal or notebook.
